Who we are
Hello and welcome to ProperMintPrint. We are an independent, bespoke printing company. Here at Proper Mint Print we like to play. We’re creative types and have made things purely for ourselves for many years. Then it dawned on us that we should probably share our skills, create a business and earn a living from this…so here we are!
What we do
We take blank items such as t-shirts, hoodies, mugs (plus many many more) and print onto them with YOUR photos and/or words. As you can see from our website, we print onto an ever-expanding range of products – from obvious things like Stag and Hen Do t-shirts and hoodies, to more obscure items such as bottle openers and door hangers. Our product range develops weekly so its always worth checking in regularly to see what we’re up to!
Why we’re different
We turn your ideas (or half ideas) into a reality, no matter how daft or random you might think they are! Lets say you want a mug, ok? You can go on our website select a mug, upload a photo and tell us what you want writing on it. For example, ‘Happy Birthday Dad’ and a picture of your Dad. We can do that, no problem, but so can the big boys whose adverts you see on the telly. We are better though as we don’t just stop there. What if your Dad is terrified of spiders? – we can put spider images all over the mug. What if your Dad drives like Lewis Hamilton (or so he thinks)? – we can take your photo and turn him into a Formula 1 driver and put that on the mug. What if your Dad has a bit of an ego and thinks he’s king of the world? – we can put a crown on him and sit him on a throne in a palace and print that onto the mug. When you order one of our products we’ll play and tinker with it until its just right, it’ll be 100% unique and personalised but we do all the hard work for you! All thats included in the price of the mug.
We’re not a massive corporate entity, we aren’t listed on the stock market, we do not have a factory employing thousands of staff and you’re not likely to see us sponsoring a Premier League football team any time soon. This is all good though! This means that you, the customer, receive a fantastic level of service. We are very approachable, indeed we want you to get in touch. Everything we make is personalised so the more you interact with us the better. Like a glass we make but don’t like the style of writing and want something a little different? Fine, no problem, just let us know and we’ll sort it out for you. Want a hoodie but cannot see the particular colour you’re after on our website? Fine, no problem, get in touch and we’ll see if we can order in exactly what you’re after.
How we work
Nothing is pre-made, everything is made upon request as everything we make is 100% personalised by you.
One benefit of being a relatively small company is that we are very human and approachable. When you order a product a real human being will be making your product. Yes we use computers and some printing machinery to help us but a lot of what we do is handmade, relying upon our skills and judgement. We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase, therefore we only send out products we’d be happy to buy ourselves. When you place an order we need your email address so we can send you a receipt but we may also email you a picture of a design you’ve requested so we can check that its exactly what you’re wanting before we print it out.
Where we are
We are based in Sunderland in the North East of England. We don’t have a traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ shop as we sell all of our products online. However, we hope to be setting up camp at various markets across the region in the near future.
